Wheelchair Sports will be running an ‘Information Day’ at Shenton Park on Wednesday 9th April.
As you may or may not know, in the past WSWA has only really had dealings with Ward 11 (Spinal Unit) at Shenton Park and some of you would have come along and spoken to current in-patients.
However in the past few months, we have been trying to improve the relationship not just with Ward 11 but also with all of the other wards down at Shenton Park. This is because Wheelchair Sports WA has obviously grown and we can now offer a sport for nearly all disabilities.
This ‘Information Day’ will be an opportunity for the in-patients of all the wards at Shenton (Spinal, ABI, Neuro & Stroke) to come together in one place to see the range of sports and opportunities that we offer.
The session will be held at 15:30 and will probably last an hour or so.
We are hoping to get at least one or two representatives from most sports to come down (ideally with some equipment) to be able to talk to the current patients about your sport/activity.
If you would be interested in attending or have any queries then please contact Charlie ASAP.
Whilst this event on the 9th is more for current in-patients, WSWA have been increasing their dialogue with the contact physios for the outpatients of each ward.
This would therefore be a great opportunity to get some more people along.
So if you are an outpatient and would like to attend, you must RSVP to Charlie to book a place.
